The 4th Annual Trees & Lights from Around the World Window Art Festival is lighting up Downtown Urbana throughout December 2025, showcasing 34 multicultural window art displays created by local artists, businesses, and organizations. The festival, presented by We Love Urbana and community partners, includes nightly illuminations, live performances, and several special events.

Key highlights include performances from the Urbana High School A Cappella group, the UHS Race St Jazz Combo, and Mariachi Tigres de Urbana. Local businesses also host events like the Winter Chronicle at Hotel Royer, where visitors can vote for their favorite themed tree, and the Mistletoe Market at Lincoln Square Mall.

Other festive events include the Winter Solstice Celebration, the Winter Lights 2025 evening stroll, and the Holiday Spectacular at Rose Bowl Tavern on December 20. Families can also enjoy photos with Santa on Saturdays and an Ice Cream Social with UHS musicians later in the month.

Festival organizer Kanittha Fay emphasized the importance of community involvement: “The heart of this festival is the everyday people—housekeepers, restaurant workers, neighbors—who create art and share their culture with all of us. More than 100 people help bring this festival to life.”

The festival runs through the month of December, with a variety of events designed to bring together the local community while celebrating art, culture, and the holiday season.
