CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — After a week of the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office having a void in released records for bookings, Chambana Today returns with this week’s Crimestoppers Booking Report. This week’s booking report also looks to provide data on theft throughout the week, in addition to DUIs and Battery/Assault-related bookings.

However, it does return in full.

After records between July 31 and August 7 were not uploaded to the office’s website, this week, we are missing records from August 12 and August 13 (see image below).

As a result, this week’s Crimestoppers Booking Report will be missing data from August 12-13.

Our newsroom reached out to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, but we were not able to contact the appropriate person(s) to inquire about the missing data.

As a disclaimer, readers are reminded that inmates booked may be counted twice across different days. For instance, a booking with multiple charges including theft and battery may be counted as both a theft and a battery.

Here’s an overview of the booking report activity from the last week, which included a total of 84 bookings:

Thursday, August 7: 26 bookings (1 out of facility)

  • 6 DUI
  • 4 Assault/Battery
  • 4 Theft/Burglary

Friday, August 8: 12 bookings

  • 4 DUI
  • 5 Assault/Battery
  • 2 Theft/Burglary

Saturday, August 9: 13 bookings

  • 2 DUI
  • 7 Assault/Battery
  • 1 Theft/Burglary

Sunday, August 10: 12 bookings

  • 2 DUI
  • 4 Assault/Battery
  • 2 Theft/Burglary

Monday, August 11: 15 bookings

  • 5 DUI
  • 1 Assault/Battery
  • 2 Theft/Burglary

Tuesday, August 12: No data provided

Wednesday, August 13: No data provided

Thursday, August 14: 6 bookings, 2 out of facility

  • 0 DUI
  • 1 Assault/Battery
  • 2 Theft/Burglary
