CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Newly released estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey show a significant spread in median home values across Champaign County communities.

Savoy ranks highest locally, with an estimated median value of $320,300 for owner-occupied homes. Mahomet follows at $299,100, and St. Joseph comes in at $270,900.

The City of Champaign is listed at $210,900, nearly identical to Monticello at $210,500 and slightly above Tolono at $208,600. Urbana’s median home value is estimated at $184,900.

Communities such as Rantoul at $118,200 and Paxton at $120,400 fall near the middle of the county’s range.

At the lower end of the list are smaller villages including Rankin at $56,900, Roberts at $59,700 and Longview at $63,300.

The figures reflect estimated median values for owner-occupied housing units and are commonly used to compare housing markets and assess local economic conditions. While individual home prices vary, the estimates provide a snapshot of how property values differ from one community to another across the county.
