Champaign Crime Stoppers seeks public help identifying Old Navy theft suspects

CHAMPAIGN, IL — Champaign County Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two women who stole more than $800 in merchandise from the Old Navy at 2000 North Neil St. in April.

According to investigators, the two women entered the store on April 19, 2026, at approximately 6 p.m., selected numerous items, concealing them inside a mesh bag and a purse. They then placed the mesh bag full of unpaid merchandise near the front exit and walked out. Shortly afterward, the two pulled up near the entrance in a Kia SUV, and one woman went back inside to retrieve the stashed bag before the pair fled the scene.

The suspects are described as Black females between approximately 25 and 35 years old. The first suspect was wearing a black shirt, white pants, and white Crocs and was carrying a black purse. The second suspect was wearing glasses, an all-gray outfit, and green Crocs and was also carrying a black purse. Both were captured on store surveillance video.
