CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — A fire broke out at 1331 W. Ridge Road in Champaign just after 10:30 a.m. this morning, prompting a swift response from the Champaign Fire Department. More than a dozen firefighters arrived on the scene and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze before it spread further.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, as fire officials work to determine the source of the blaze.

The Champaign Fire Department is urging residents to stay vigilant and report any signs of fire hazards in their homes or businesses.
