CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Residents are invited to have coffee and conversation with local law enforcement during an upcoming Coffee with a Cop event hosted by the Champaign Police Department.

The event will take place March 11, 2026, from 8 to 10 a.m. at The Caffeine Rx, located at 107 N. Walnut St.

Organizers say there is no formal agenda and no scheduled speeches — just an opportunity for community members to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know their officers in an informal setting.

The department says the goal of Coffee with a Cop is to build relationships “one cup at a time” by fostering open dialogue between police and the community they serve.

The event is free and open to the public.
