DANVILLE, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Danville Police Department has announced that its Emergency Response Unit (ERU) will conduct training exercises at various locations throughout the city on Monday, September 29, 2025, between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

The exercises are part of the department’s ongoing efforts to maintain a high level of readiness and preparedness for emergency situations. While the training is underway, community members may see specialized vehicles, tactical equipment, and increased police activity in certain areas.

Police officials emphasize that the training is not related to any active threat or recent incident. The department also expressed its appreciation for the public’s understanding and cooperation, adding that routine exercises like these are vital for maintaining public safety and ensuring a coordinated response in emergency situations.
