SEATTLE, Wa. (Chambana Today) — Illinois picked up a signature road win Sunday afternoon, defeating No. 25 Washington 75–66 at Alaska Airlines Arena to secure its second ranked victory of the season.

The Fighting Illini (16–6, 6–5 Big Ten) took control midway through the second quarter and led for the final 27 minutes, building a lead as large as 14 against the Huskies. The win marked Illinois’ eighth ranked victory under fourth-year head coach Shauna Green and snapped Washington’s five-game winning streak.

Cearah Parchment led the Illini with 23 points and 10 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season, adding four steals to anchor Illinois on both ends of the floor. Berry Wallace followed with 22 points and seven rebounds, while Maddie Webber provided a spark off the bench with 13 points. Destiny Jackson rounded out the double-figure scorers with 11 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.

Illinois asserted itself on the glass, outrebounding Washington 33–24 and converting 14 offensive rebounds into 26 second-chance points. The Illini defense also forced 16 turnovers, turning those takeaways into 17 points.

After trailing 16–15 at the end of the first quarter, Illinois used an 8–0 run in the second period to seize momentum and carried a 37–29 lead into halftime. Another 8–0 spurt late in the third quarter pushed the advantage to 49–35, and the Illini maintained a comfortable margin throughout the fourth, closing the game at the free-throw line.
