Franklin preschool implements altered schedules August 20 after water main break

MATTOON, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Franklin Preschool will operate on a modified schedule today due to a water main break, affecting all preschool sessions on Wednesday, August 20.

  • Morning Session: Regular dismissal at 11:00 a.m.
  • Full-Day Session: Early dismissal at 12:15 p.m.
  • Afternoon Session: Canceled for the day

These adjustments apply only to Franklin Preschool; all other schools in the district remain open as usual.

“Ensuring the health and safety of students and staff is our top priority,” said district officials. Families are urged to check their emails for specific information regarding drop-off and pick-up procedures. District officials will notify families by 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening about whether school will resume as normal on Thursday, August 21.
