DANVILLE, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Hope is taking root on Sherman Street as Habitat for Humanity and Vermilion Advantage prepare to break ground on a brand-new home for one of the community’s own heroes. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Wednesday, August 20 at 2:30 p.m. at 1416 Sherman Street in Danville.

This event marks more than just the start of construction. It’s the beginning of a new chapter filled with hope, stability, and the strength of community support. Local leaders, volunteers, and residents are expected to join in the celebration as shovels hit the ground.
