CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Illinois women’s basketball delivered its most dominant performance of the season Sunday, overwhelming Le Moyne 100–28 at State Farm Center behind six double-figure scorers and a smothering defensive showing that held the Dolphins to just 2-of-22 shooting from beyond the arc.

Sophomore guard Cearah Parchment headlined the afternoon with a rare points-steals double-double, finishing with 17 points and 10 steals. Her 10 takeaways tied the program’s single-game record and marked just the second points-steals double-double in Illinois history — the first since Shavonna Hunter achieved the feat in 1999.

Illinois (6–1) reached the 100-point mark for the first time in more than a year, sparked by balanced scoring and relentless pressure. Freshman Berry Wallace matched Parchment with 17 points, while Maddie Webber came off the bench to add 15 points and two steals. The Illini dominated the offensive glass with 11 rebounds for 10 second-chance points and also recorded five blocks, led by Lety Vasconcelos’ pair of rejections.

Illinois seized control early, unleashing a 20-0 first-quarter run to turn a 4–2 edge into a commanding 24–2 lead. The Illini’s interior scoring fueled a 36-6 opening frame, including 28 points in the paint. By halftime, Illinois had stretched its lead to 52–15 after converting eight Le Moyne turnovers into eight points.

The momentum only grew in the third quarter, where a 19-0 burst pushed the margin to 71–15. Illinois entered the final period ahead 75–19 and continued to pour it on, with 14 fourth-quarter points coming from the bench.
