Urbana announces start of Community Services Grant

URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) — Earlier this year, the City of Urbana announced the beginning of its largest general fund investment in social service funding ever through the Community Services Grant.

The grant looks to support programs that meet the documented needs of low-income Urbana residents, creating meaningful and lasting impact across the community.

Urbana is seeking programs in these key service areas:

  • Domestic violence services
  • Housing & homelessness prevention
  • Education
  • Immigration services
  • Employment & job training
  • Senior services
  • Family support & special needs
  • Violence prevention
  • Food security
  • Youth services
  • Healthcare

The deadline for submission is Monday, April 6 at 5 p.m. Applicants will be required to upload a signed certification that they have read the Program Manual with each application.
