URBANA, Ill. (Chambana Today) – The Urbana Police Department is partnering with Courage Connection to collect essential items for individuals and families affected by domestic violence and housing insecurity.

Now through December 22, community members are encouraged to drop off donations at the Urbana Police Department as part of the “Fill the Box for Courage Connection” campaign. The drive supports Courage Connection’s mission to provide shelter, counseling, and support services for those in crisis.

“We’re grateful to the Urbana Police Department for stepping up to help,” said representatives from Courage Connection. “Every donation makes a difference for someone in need.”

The organization accepts donations year-round, and items from their Wish List can be found online at courageconnection.org/donate. Those interested in helping can also scan the QR code on the department’s flyer to view donation needs.

If you or someone you know needs support, Courage Connection’s 24/7 domestic violence hotline is available at (217) 384-4390.
